Dr. Jason R. Lupton is a board-certified dermatologist and fellowship-trained laser surgeon known for his expertise in medical, surgical, laser and aesthetic dermatology. Since entering private practice in the San Diego area in 2002, Dr. Lupton has earned a reputation for thoughtful, precise care and natural-looking results that help patients feel confident in their skin.
A published author, national and international lecturer and recognized leader in laser and cosmetic dermatologic surgery, Dr. Lupton has authored more than 40 peer-reviewed articles, book chapters and reviews. He has lectured extensively throughout the United States and Europe on laser surgical techniques and aesthetic dermatology, including at major dermatology meetings such as the American Academy of Dermatology, the American Society for Laser Medicine and Surgery and the American Society for Dermatologic Surgery.
Dr. Lupton completed his undergraduate and medical training at Georgetown University. He then completed an internal medicine internship at Scripps Clinic and Research Foundation in La Jolla, followed by dermatology training and chief residency at George Washington University Medical Center and Washington Hospital Center. He went on to complete a highly competitive laser surgery fellowship at the Washington Institute of Dermatologic Laser Surgery, where his involvement in research studies and clinical trials helped establish him as an early leader in cosmetic dermatologic surgery.
At San Diego Dermatology & Laser Surgery, Dr. Lupton provides comprehensive dermatologic care, including medical and surgical dermatology, injectable treatments, soft tissue fillers, laser skin rejuvenation, skin tightening, laser hair removal, tattoo removal, brown spot and pigment treatment and blood vessel treatment. His approach is rooted in advanced training, careful listening and a commitment to results that are balanced, refined and naturally beautiful.
Dr. Lupton lives in La Jolla with his wife and two children. Outside the office, he enjoys traveling, reading and spending time with his family.
